Shawn Lani is the founding director of the Studio for Public Spaces at San Francisco’s Exploratorium. He has spent the last three decades creating large and small and large-scale public space installations that blend placemaking, art, field research, and education. He is the recipient of three National Science Foundation grants and a national AIA award. Shawn earned a Master’s Degree in Museum Studies focused on design and education in 1995.
