Jamie Chan Ed.D. is the Director of Programs and Partnerships at the Gardens of Golden Gate Park, previously from the Center for Science and Math Education at San Francisco State University (SFSU). Her career in higher education includes teaching as adjunct faculty in education and the biological sciences. Jamie received her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration this year and received an M.S. in evolutionary biology in partnership at the California Academy of Sciences from SFSU. As a Master Gardener, she co-founded a food security project in San Francisco called Sisterhood Gardens. Jamie is a 4th generation San Franciscan who is passionate about gardens as places for education and social activism.
