Candace Low is an evolutionary biologist and ecologist who studies plant and insect coevolutionary dynamics. She is a field biologist and theoretician who sees ecology as a network of symbiotic relationships sharing resources rather than competing for them, while locked in perpetual antagonistic combat. She is a native of San Francisco, born to immigrant parents, and teaches courses in Conservation Biology, Data Science, Evolution, and Ecology at San Francisco State University. She has taken leadership roles as Advisor to the SF State Chapter of the Wildlife Society and Education Chair of the Yerba Buena Chapter of the California Native Plants Society.
